Altha June Meadows Bailey, of Princeton, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the home of her sister, Mary Jo White, and husband James, June’s homeplace.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Bailey; and both sons, Gerald, and Terry Bailey; brother, Oscar Meadows and wife Ann.
She is survived by her brothers, Jimmy Meadows and wife Patty and Kenneth Meadows and wife Priscilla; sisters, Marie Hubbard, Betty Tilley and husband Bob, Mary Jo White and husband James, and Joyce Meadows and husband Marion.
June retired from Maidenform and Belk. She loved church, baking cakes, sewing, volunteering at a local nursing home, and working with Toys for Tots. She was always caring for her family. She was kind and generous to everyone, taking care of the sick and was very strong. She loved gospel and country music, as well as her rose garden and taking bus tours.
A funeral service to celebrate June’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the service hour on Friday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seneca Trail Church of Christ, P.O. Box 143 Linside, WV 24951.
