ANDREWS, ELIJAH "E.L." age 83 of Maynardville passed away November 29, 2005 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice.

He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. A staff sergeant for the United States Marines during WWII, he is retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survived by wife, Imogene Vandergriff Andrews daughter Janice Lever and husband Lester of Georgia sons, Terry Andrews and wife Carol, Lance Andrews and Donnie Andrews and wife Renita all of Knoxville nine grandchildren stepsons, Gary Vandergriff and Michael Vandergriff step-grandson, John.

Funeral service will be Friday at 8 PM in the Halls Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home with Reverend Jack Walker officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM Saturday at the funeral home and proceeded to Bethany Cemetery for a military graveside service at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be William Keanaaina, Michael Johnson, Fred Maples, Jim Martin, John Shelton and Kenny Hall. Honorary pallbearer will be Edward Hall. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM at the Halls Chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home, 922-9195
