Martin Luther Bingham was born near Syracuse, N. Y. March 24, 1825, and died near Wyoming, Ill., Sept. 24, 1912, at the age of 87 years and 6 months.

At the age of 11 years he removed with his parents to Batavia, Genesee County, N. Y., where he grew to manhood.

On November 12, 1866, he was married to Mrs. Olive Cutler Denton of Batavia, N. Y. They came to Illinois in 1870, where Mr. Bingham and was engaged at the carpentry trade for a number of years and helped to build the Princeville mill. They later went to Wyoming, Ill., living there for a period of six years, after which they again returned to Princeville, which has been since there home until about a year ago, when, becoming quite feeble, they moved to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Charles Pratt, near Wyoming.

Mr. Bingham united with the Presbyterian Church of Princeville Nov. 30, 1902, and was a consistent Christian until his death. For several years his health has been failing and at times his suffering has been intense, but he bore it with a Christian fortitude and no word of complaint.

Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian Church Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Max B. Wiles, and interment was in the Princeville cemetery.
