Services for Mrs. Rosa V. Kneer, 85, a former Princeville resident who died Saturday in Parkhill Nursing Home in Chillicothe, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hammitt Memorial Chapel.
Rev. Charles Mann officiated and burial was in Princeville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were William Hart, Raymond Hart, Donald Burgess, Harold Savage, Phillip Owens, and Melvin Pettinger.
She was born in Willmathsville, Mo., May 12, 1884, a daughter of Frank and Mary Anna Ellison Burgess, and was married in Jefferson, Iowa, December 22, 1909, to George Kneer, who died in 1941.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Glady Wright of Princeville, with whom she had resided prior to entering the nursing home, eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Leslie Burgess of Peoria.
A daughter, two sisters, and two brothers preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kneer was a member of the Laura Methodist Church for nearly seventy years.
