Nehemiah Huey Criddle was educated in the New Orleans Public School System attending Johnson Lockett Elementary School and Joseph S. Clark Senior High School. He attended Southeastern LA University where he studied Petroleum Engineering. In 1950 he was baptized at Law Street Baptist Church by the late Rev. Eddie Scott Sr. In 1953 he proudly began his tour of duty enlisting in the U.S. Army. Nehemiah met and married Carolyn Williams, and to that union two children were born, Kevin Huey and Connie Rochelle. Nehemiah worked as a printer's apprentice at Harvey Press and a plant operator at Shell Oil Refinery (Norco Facility). In 1992 Nehemiah married Beverly Baham Wells. Nehemiah was a person who never met a stranger and whose special gift was the gift of encouragement.
