Melvin McDonald, eighty-four years old and a life-long resident of this place, was taken suddenly ill and died Wednesday morning, June 23, at the home of L. W. Brooks, a relative. He was the last one of the immediate family and was buried by the side of his wife in the Knowlhurst cemetery.
The funeral was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Brooks homestead, with the Rev. H. H Chapman officiating.
