Ray “C.R.” “Doug” Douglas, aged 89 of Oklahoma City, Ok was born on October 3, 1930 to Thomas McCoy Douglas and Elma Irene Strube Douglas in Charlotte, N.C. He passed from this earth on February 12, 2020 in Oklahoma City. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Edward McCoy “Dick” Douglas, his first wife, Dolores Brock Douglas, and second wife, Nanie Wolfe Douglas. He was in the Air Force as a young and served in the military police. He was always interested in law enforcement. After he was discharged from the military, he became a well-respected member of the Oklahoma City Police Department and was also a member of the F.O.P. Lodge 123. He served our city for 20 years, from 1954 to 1974, before retiring. After retirement, he continued working as a security guard until his 2nd retirement OG&E. he wrote poetry and loved books so much that he often quoted Shakespeare. Cecil is survived by his daughter Cynthia Truman and son-in-law Bernie “Butch” Truman of Oklahoma City, 1 grandson Jeremy Humphries and his wife Amanda of North Carolina, and a God-grandson Charles “Chuck” Truman of Oklahoma City. He will be missed by his family, extended family and many friends.
