Safe in the arms of Jesus,
They were carried every-one,
They are bright and shining angles, [angels]
In a bright and better home.

Safe in the arms of Jesus,
They are free from every pain,
They are calmly, sweetly resting,
We would not wish them back again.
(The Luzerne Union, Wilkes-Barre, PA, February 16, 1876)

The family of Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Van Buskirk, of Forty Fort, have suffered a terrible bereavement in the death of their four and only children, all of whom were buried in the space of two weeks. Rev. J.F. Wilbur preached the funeral sermon of the last one on Sunday morning, February 13, at the old church in Forty Fort. The disease which so suddenly carried off these four children was diphtheria. (Carbondale Daily News, Carbondale, PA, February 26, 1876)
