A double visitation will be held for Oliver "Bud" Andrews and his wife, Lillian "Lempi" Andrews, who died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home in Schererville, Ind.
Oliver Bernard Andrews was born April 27, 1919, in Caryville, Tenn., to Oliver and Lillian Woods Andrews. He graduated from East Chicago Washington High School in East Chicago, Ind. Oliver married Lillian Tuuri on May 18, 1940, in East Chicago, Ind. He worked for Inland Steel in East Chicago, Ind., and retired after 42 years of service. He had served in the Army National Guard. They moved to Bemidji on Jan. 1, 1979, to enjoy his retirement and he loved to do wood working, fishing, gardening and home building.
Oliver is survived by his son, James (Mary Ann)Andrews, Bemidji, Minn.; daughter, Cheryl (Hubert) Simmons, Moulton; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Geraldine Houdasheldt, Highland, Ind.; and brother, David A. (Mary Ann) Andrews, Schererville, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lillian "Lempi" Andrews on Oct. 6, 2007; two sisters; and one brother.
