James Thomas Dickenson, of Columbia, Missouri died suddenly on January 1, 2021. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Jamie was born on March 2, 1979 to Larry and Dotty Dickenson in Columbia Missouri. Jamie attended Rock Bridge High School in 1998. After graduating high school, he worked for Emery Sapp and Sons for 10 years.

He then moved to Gilbert, Arizona and worked for Asarco LLC, a drilling and mining company.

Anyone who knew Jamie, knew that he had a passion for the outdoors. He grew up hunting, fishing, playing basketball and especially baseball. He loved his dogs and horses he owned over the years. He enjoyed riding his 4 wheeler and generally just being with friends and family. One of his greatest passions was for fishing, as he fished with his family at their home at Bennett Springs.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry E. Dickenson and Dorothy “Dotty” L. Dickenson.

He is survived by brother, Michael Poe, many aunts, uncles and cousins, along with many friends and other family who loved him dearly.

Services will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 I-70 Business Loop Columbia, Mo 65202 on January 15, 2021. Visitation will be held January 15, 2021 from 4-7 pm. Private family burial will be held at Mokane Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his loving mother and father.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Healing Chair-Columbia at www.healingchair.org in honor of Jamie and his beloved parents Larry and Dotty.
