Barbara Antoinette Andrew “HP” of Rosenberg Texas passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of 81 after a courageous fight against a blood disorder illness. Her loving son Perry and daughter in law Mary Ann were by her side. She was born on February 27, 1939 in Berwyn, Illinois to John Zarecki and Helen [Wiencek] Zarecki.
She attended Argo High School in Argo Illinois. She met and married Stephen Andrew and they had four children together. She later began working in retail and was an office manager for most of her career.
After retiring she moved to the great state of Texas where two of her children had relocated. She made “couponing” a hobby, which was shopping for deals using coupons and the stores weekly ads and special promotions. She probably never paid full retail price for anything the rest of her life. In fact sometimes the store would owe her money for “purchasing” their merchandise. Thanks Ma for all the free stuff!!!
Barbara is survived by her four children, Lorraine Van Reese & husband Allen, Perry C Andrew & wife Mary Ann, Linda Elkins and LaVerne Valdez & husband Dan. Also survived by her Brother Jerry & wife Judy and many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her spouse and her Brother Thomas.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2021 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service. Visitation will be from noon to 2 PM. Burial will follow at Morton Cemetery, 401 N 2nd St, Richmond, TX.
