Beloved wife, mother, sister and grandmother, Sandy Longmore passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2009.

Sandy was born in Los Angeles, California on August 17, 1934 and was a long time resident of Wildomar. She was employed by the Lake Elsinore Unified school district for 24 years, serving as a school secretary and in other positions throughout the district. She was a past president of the Lake Elsinore school board.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Fred Longmore; daughters, Terry Schrank and husband Lee, Mary Matheny, Kelly Thoman; sons, Mike Mcdermed, Mark Longmore and wife Dawn, Buck Longmore and wife Britt; sister, Diane Sappington and husband Howard of Hawthorne. She is also survived by seven granddaughters, Renae Matheny, Marcie Debiaw and husband Dana, Jennifer O'Neil and husband Jake, Rikki Longmore, Heather, Holly, and Mandy Thoman; seven grandsons, Ryan Mcdermed, Steven and Justin Matheny, Cody Schrank, Tyler Thoman, Harrison and Peyton Longmore.

Sandy will be missed so much by her family, friends, and previous co-workers at the Lake Elsinore Unified school district.

She enjoyed most spending time with her children and grand- children. She could always be counted on by her family. She loved to play and watch tennis, go bowling, and take annual family vacations to Laughlin, where she played video keno and poker with Fred, while the kids went boating on the lake. She was an avid collector of John Wayne memorabilia.

Memorial services were privately conducted by family members.
