WEST POINT - The funeral for Adella E. Fischer, 90, of West Point will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point.

She died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at West Point Living Center.

Adella Evert was born Jan. 3, 1912, in Howells. She attended schools in Howells. She married John J. Fischer Nov. 27, 1929, in Howells. They farmed southeast of West Point until 1966 when they moved into West Point. She had been employed at Kindschuh Chinchilla Ranch, Yosten's Coast to Coast, Graybeal Foods and West 32 Diner, all of West Point.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guild and Christian Mothers.

Survivors include: her husband; a son, John F. (and wife, Arlene) of West Point; a brother, Frank of Dodge; three grandsons and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

The Rev. James Ryberg will officiate Thursday's service. A rosary for Guild and Christian Mothers will be said at 1:30 this afternoon and a public Christian wake service will be 7:30 tonight, both at Stalp Funeral Chapel in West Point. Visitation is in progress until 8:30 tonight at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in West Point.

Memorials have been established to Guardian Angels and Central Catholic Endowments.
