OBITUARY
John Woodall Ashley, age 82, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020. Born February 11, 1938 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Daniel and Lida Ashley. He attended Sunset High School and graduated with a B.S. from North Texas College. John retired from the City of Dallas and enjoyed a second career as an auctioneer for many years. As a Christian, John was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Ashley; daughter, JoLynn Clements and her husband, Ron; daughter, Karen Douglas and her husband, John; son, Jason Ashley; grandsons, Richard White, Jason Ashley Jr., Luke Douglas, Brendan Ashley; granddaughters, Carolyn Douglas, Jessica Douglas, and Emily Douglas.

Visitation will be available from 7:00 pm – 8:30pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel, Duncanville, TX.

Funeral services will be held at 9:00am, Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 265 W. Pleasant Run Rd., Cedar Hill, TX.

A private family burial will take place at Grove Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
