John Ray Ellison, 86, husband of the late Faye Webb Ellison, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in the Cheddar Community of Williamston, SC, he was the son of the late Gonzerlee and Ethel Coker Ellison. He served in the National Guard and was the retired service manager at Myers Mazda. Mr. Ellison was a member of Midway Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Gina Ellison Sanders (Jeff); brother, Harrison Ellison (Miriam); two sisters, Jean E. Boggs and Sue E. Harbin; two step grandchildren, Matthew Sanders and Erin Allen (Josh); brother-in-law, Bill Rankin; sisters-in-law, Barbara Ellison, Brenda Ellison, and Deborah Ellison; special friends, Sammy and Linda Stevenson; a number of nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Barney.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth Haney and three brothers, Charles Lee Ellison, Steve Ellison, and Michael Ellison.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park conducted by Dr. John McCallum.
