John Cook, age 74, passed away on January 15,2021 in Jacksonville, Florida after a brief illness.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, burial will follow with military honors in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Macon Ga to Myrtis and Nellie Cook who proceeded him in death.

He attended St. Josephs and was a graduate of Mount De Sales. He served in the Air Force, worked at Georgia Power for many years and delivered for Hostess. He had been retired for many years.

He enjoyed going to church, playing golf and had a love of music. He was a great softball coach and dad to his daughters growing up and he loved the Georgia Bulldogs.

He is survived by his daughters Kellye Lupica (Paul) and Kristi Sanders (Shane). He is survived by many siblings Tommy Cook, Theresa Cook, Katherine Davis (Don), Mary Glore (Gary), Elizabeth Long (Frankie), and James Cook (Linda). He is also survived by his grandchildren Rebecca Barton, William Barton, Reagan Sanders, Abigail Sanders, Will Lupica, Caitlyn Dawson, Delaney Dawson and Chance Dawson. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as many God children.

In Lieu of flowers, we ask that you make memorial donation in his name to the ASPCA. John loved all animals and any donations would be appreciated.
