REV. GEORGE L. SILER, 73, of 4250 Minden, part-time minister with Associated Pentecostal churches and retired employee of Kimberly-Clark Corp., died at 12:15 p.m. yesterday at North Little Rock Veterans Medical Center after a long illness. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memorial Park. Mr. Siler was a veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bertha Siler; two daughters, Mrs. Sheila Ann Bruno of Memphis and Mrs. Shirley Lee Gillis of Florida; a son, George L. Siler of Elizabethtown, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Clencie Houchin and Mrs. Evelyn Mascari, both of Memphis; three brothers, Glenn Siler of Nashville, Jelbert Siler of Texas, and John Siler Jr. of Louisiana, and three grandchildren. The family requests any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on July 25, 1985)
