Samuel William Cannon Sr was the son of Robert Cannon & Elinor Unknow. Of the siblings I am aware of are: Nathaniel Cannon (1760 - 18 Apr 1844) and Rebecca Cannon (abt 1868 - 1825). Little has been found on Rebecca.

Samuel married Sarah Riser abt 1797 in Georgia possibly and had the following children:

I Samuel Cannon of said State and County being of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart from this world deem it right and proper both as respects myself and my family that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me I therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking and annulling all other heretofore made by me.Item 1st I desire that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition.Item 2nd I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid without delay by my Executor hereinwith named as I am unwilling my Creditors would be delayed of their rights especially as there is no necessity for delaying.Item 3rd I give and desire to my wife Anna Three hundred dollars and one bed and bedding and all that she brought my house besides the bed and bedding so far as relates to household furniture.Item 4th I give and desire to my daughter Kesiah Hancock and her children my negro girl named Emaline and her increase.Item 5th I give and desire my son James Five hundred dollars.Item 6th I give and desire to the children of my son John Five hundred dollars and do appoint said son John Cannon as Trustee to manage the money for his children.Item 7th I give and desire to my daughter Mary Middlebrook, Five hundred dollars.Item 8th I give and desire to myh son George W.
