Moody - Dixon, Raymond F. formerly of Moody, AL and currently of Gadsden, AL passed into Heaven at the Floyd E. Fann V.A. Home in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, January 16, 2021. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline Dixon and son Don Dixon. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as well as the Alabama Power Company. He was a member at Riverview Baptist Church and a member of Cedar Bend and Moody Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Campers on Mission.
Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife, Hazel Guthery Dixon; daughters, LaRae Williams (Randall) and Brenda Russell (Dennis); sons, Kurt Dixon (Paula), Kevin Dixon (June) and Bryan Dixon (Paula); 9 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Riverview Baptist Church, Highway 77 in Southside, AL beginning at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00AM. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Forest Crest Cemetery on Highway 78, Birmingham, AL at 1:00PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the mission program at Riverview Baptist Church in Southside, AL. Pastor Roger Waggoner will be officiating.
