Arlene E. Cauthon, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021, at the Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City, Kansas. She was born on February 21, 1928, in Marienthal, Kansas, the daughter of Fred Francis & Ethel Leona Forbes Miller. Arlene was a resident of Scott County, Kansas, and Scott City, Kansas since 1947 moving from Wichita County, Kansas, and was a homemaker and farm wife.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, UMW, El Quartelejo Study Club of Scott City, Kansas. She was a past member of the Modoc Sewing Club, PEO, and Farm Bureau EHU.

In August of 1947, she married Glenn Novak at the Pleasant Valley Methodist Church in Wichita County, Kansas. He passed away on July 27, 1990, in Newfoundland, Canada. On January 1, 1994, she married Elmer Cauthon in Scott City, Kansas. He passed away on March 8, 2005, in Scott City, Kansas.

Survivors include her Three Sons - Robert Novak of Scott City, Kansas, William Novak of Scott City, Kansas, David & Sherry Novak of Scott City, Kansas, One Daughter - Deana Novak of Hutchinson, Kansas, One Sister - Donna Ridder of Leoti, Kansas, and Two Grandchildren - Brian & Xinjie Novak of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Matt Novak or Modoc, Kansas.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Two Husbands - Glenn Novak, Elmer Cauthon, One Grandson - Nick Novak, and One Brother - Francis Miller.

Private Family Graveside Memorial Services will be held at a later date.

Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery in Scott City, Kansas

Memorials in Lieu of Flowers can be made to the United Methodist Church or the Park Lane Nursing Home in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home; PO Box 553; Scott City, Kansas, 67871.
