Mr. Garibaldi, a retired bridge tender, was a parishioner of St. Lawrence's Church and a member of the Seafarers' Union of the Pennsylvania Railroad, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Born in Italy on October 22, 1896, he had settled in Jersey City when he first came to the United States in 1902 and had resided in Laurence Harbor during the past 15 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Christine (nee Nette) Garibaldi; three sons, John Garibaldi and Frank Garibaldi, Manchester, Connecticut; and Vincent Garibaldi, Nutley; three daughters, Mrs. Jean Freeburg, Manchester, Connecticut; Mrs. Madeline Bernard, East Hartford, Connecticut; Mrs. Rita Ciccolello, Old Bridge; three step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Driscoll, Centereach, L.I., N.Y.; Mrs. Gertrude Stevener, Sprakers, N.Y.; Mrs. MIriam Sudano, Massapequa, L.I.; a step-son, Robert Miller, Willingboro; a brother, Joseph Manchester; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Farr and Mrs. Mary Chaves, Manchester, Connecticut; and Mrs. Mary Colarsordo, Bronx, N.Y.; 28 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
