A. B. ALSPAUGH DIES; EX-SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Albert B. Alspaugh, 61, 2518 Avenue B., former principal of Macedonia public schools, died Tuesday in a local hospital. He had been ill 11 months.
Alspaugh had worked the last 28 years in the legal record department of the Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Omaha. He was a principal at Macedonia for 7 years, resigning there in 1923.
A resident of Council Bluffs for 28 years, Alspaugh was a member of the Masonic Temple and Telephone Pioneers Club. He was born in Marengo, Indiana and was graduated from Central Normal College in Danville, Indiana.
Survivors are widow, Esther; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Yochem of Burbank, California, Mrs. Marian Fry, and Mrs. Elaine Walton, both of Council Bluffs; brothers, Clarence Alspaugh of St. Louis, Missouri and two sisters, Mrs. Bert Pierce and Mrs. Ann Poe, both of Alexandra, Virginia and four grandchildren.
