Mrs. Ida Beard Ecker died Saturday morning in the old Beard homestead, where she was born, after an illness of two years. Mrs. Ecker was the daughter of Beach C. Beard and the widow of John A. Ecker, who died in 1901. She has always resided in Fayetteville. She is survived by four children, J. Orville Ecker, John Beard Ecker, and Dr. Louis C. Ecker of Washington, D.C. and Miss Natalie Ecker of this village, a brother Beach H. Beard, and two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Eaton of this village and Mrs. John O. Evans of Washington, D.C. The funeral was held from the late home Tuesday afternoon.
