He was BORN 1/8/1903 in Gay Hill Comm. west of Rockdale all of his life. He was the son of M/M. Joseph Brown. Married Gussie Smith on 1/11/1939 in Cameron.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Gussie Brown of Rockdale; son, Billy Joe Brown of Rockdale; brother, Eddie Brown of Houston; 3 sisters, Mrs. Emma Doss of Seguin, Mrs. George Doss, Sr. of the Gay Hill Comm. and Mrs. Oswald Henniger of Rockdale; 3 grandchildren.
