Douglas James Johnson, 81, of Saginaw, Michigan.
Our family has lost the most loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Douglas James Johnson passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. He was 81 years old. Douglas was born on February 16, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Neil and Mary (Brad) Johnson. He married Susan Jean Zimmerman on December 23, 1976. They shared 45 amazing years together before she passed away on February 17, 2016. Douglas was employed by General Motors, until retiring after 32 years of service. He also loved working on vehicles and roofing.
Douglas had a huge heart, he loved and cared about everyone. No matter the cost he always made sure no one went without. He had so much love for his family, and he was always there to love, support and help them anyway he could.
He enjoyed going hunting and fishing. But, his true love and passion was junking, he would never miss a day in his little blue truck.
Surviving are his children, Melissa (Nathan) Mocco, Pebbles Johnson-Tappa (Jesse Erickson), Glen Johnson, and Micheal (Christine) Johnson; daughter-in-law Linda Johnson; grandchildren, Austin, Brook, Bambi, Adam, Ryan, Michael, Brian, Connie, and Reggie; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Johnson, and Clyde Johnson; many neices, nephews and many other special relatives and friends.
