Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we must advise that our 22 year old son, Jyles Alexander Horton, was involved in a very serious solo car accident on November 14th, from which he suffered a fatal brain stem injury and succumbed on November 15, 2020. While no alcohol or drugs were involved, the accident was clearly a result of his penchant for "aggressive" driving, with which many of you are familiar. We are grateful that no one else was involved or hurt.

We are also grateful to report that Jyles was registered as an organ donor. His heart, lungs, kidneys, and liver were successfully harvested by the transplant team and even now have been placed with compatible recipients in the hopes of providing them with new life through Jyles' generosity.

We will have a celebration of Jyles' life as soon as appropriate and safe arrangements can be made. In the meantime, in lieu of flowers, we would suggest you consider making a donation in Jyles' name to the Limb Lab Foundation. The Limb Lab is a wonderful organization which helps fabricate protheses for amputees, and was extremely kind and involved with Jyles during his rehabilitation from his previous "adventure". The Limb Lab Foundation of a 501(c)(3) charitable organization providing low and no cost services to those in need and all contributions are tax deductible. The website link is: https://limblab.combenefactor-overview/.

We would like to express our heartfelt love and thanks to all who have reached out to our family during this difficult time. The compassion and support of all those who knew and loved Jyles has been comforting and very meaningful.

With Love and Gratitude, Carrie and Jay Horton
