NORMAN GARY MAUSER, 47, of Colorado Springs died Friday in a Colorado Springs hospital.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Mauser was born Aug. 24, 1941, in Lovell, Wyo., to Laura Allen.
He served with the Army from 1963 until 1970 and was a prisoner of war in Vietnam. Among his many military honors, Mr. Mauser received the Silver Star.
He earned a degree in history from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs in 1980. He also attended the Canon City Abbey. He was a Roman Catholic.
Survivors include his mother; his stepfather, William Allen; a daughter, Mary Lynn of Colorado Springs; his adopted sons, Gary and Raymond, both of Colorado Springs; and a sister, Rita Morrow of Colorado Springs.
