Obituary of Cecil Francis Jr.
Cecil Francis, Jr., 90, widow of Lucy Gay Stone Francis, formerly Harrodsburg, died Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester. Born April 2, 1930, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Cecil and Willie (Neal) Francis. Cecil was a retired Southern States Coop employee, a retired farmer, a US Navy Veteran, and was an avid UK Wildcats fan.
Survivors include: three daughters, Julie Million of Lancaster, KY, Terry Francis of UT and Jo Ellen Francis of UT; two sons, Cecil Francis, III of Versailles, KY and Wayne Coffman of Harrodsburg; one sister, Anna Mae Haney of Versailles, KY; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Wooton.
Funeral services 1 PM, Thurs., Jan. 28, 2021, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Jason Duncan. Burial with Military Honors will be Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, KY. Visitation will be 5 - 8 PM Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Francis III, Wayne Coffman, Lucas Francis, and Brian Stephens.

Mr and Mr William Wade of Lexington announce the marriage of their daughter Bettie Lou, to Cecil Francis Jr, U. S. Navy, Great Lake, Ill, son of Mr Robert Waits of Lexington The ceremony took place Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint. The Rev William C Little officiated. The bride wore a gray suit with navy blue accessories and a corsage of red rose. The matron of honor Mr William Cooper of Lexington wore a gray suit with navy blue accessories William Cooper served as best man. The bride is a graduate of Lafayette High school.
