Wally graduated from Fountain Central High School with the class of 1967. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Upon returning home he began working for Raybestos where he retired from in 2014 after 47 years. Wally enjoyed going fishing, hunting, trapping, his chickens, and his beagle dogs, one of which was a world champion. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. Wally was a member of New Market Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, and Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his children, Anita Wallace-Howard, Shawn Howard, step daughter, Robin (Carl) Norman, grandson, Christopher Howard, step grandchildren, Todd and Copper Norman, sister, Shirley Wilson, and brother, Roger Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson, Colten Howard, step sons, Kevin Smith, Bill Kiger and Rob Kiger, and brother, Virgil Wallace.
Graveside service will be at 12:00 PM, Monday, February 1, 2021 at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Wallie Nichols officiating. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, 301 E. Green Street, Waveland, IN 47989. Due to the current governor mandates all in attendance are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
