Alfred L. Cassinelli, 78, of Panama City, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009, at a local hospital.

He was born in Reno, Nevada, and had lived in Bay County for the last 35 years. Al served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps, and retired as a master sergeant after 25 years in the U.S. Air Force, serving during Korea and Vietnam.

After his military service, Al worked for Honeywell as a civilian contractor at Tyndall Air Force Base. He was Catholic by faith, and was a member of the NCOA, Retired Sergeant's Association, and the VFW. Al enjoyed deep-sea fishing and spending time with his retired buddies.

Survivors include his niece, Edna Barker and her husband, Bobby, of Canton, Texas; and a cousin, Raymond Delucchi of Arizona; and his friends and coffee buddies.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 24, 2009, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tommy Barnes officiating. Entombment with full military honors offered by the U.S. Air Force will follow.
