My father was a multi-faceted renaissance man- super talented in so many ways- in all that he touched he did it with passion, grace and love. He had many hobbies and enjoyments, relished in the beauty of nature, had a fabulous sense of story telling that was entertaining and fun. He was self-taught in the many musical instruments he played and had a God-given talent for painting. Through his hard work and need to learn, he became a very successful businessman. This afforded him many great opportunities in life including an early retirement to enjoy more of his countless passions.

Always showing thanks to God for his many blessings, he especially was thankful for his soul-mate, his beloved wife Annie. And although my siblings and I didn't have the continuity of his presence after my parents divorce, we always knew that he was happy with his life.

Dad , I'm certain your love of nature will do well in Heaven and that you will do amazing things. You will likely be coloring the skies with your paint brushes, sow to seeding the fields for your beloved little creatures (deer, birds), plants and trees and playing beautiful tunes on the organ. All with love.

For whatever our relationship had lost along the windy road we took- we gained it in the end. I'm glad we left each other pleased. I will love you forever.
