He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard for three years prior to working at CPS Energy over 37 years and retiring as a control room supervisor on February 1, 1992.
Wilton is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Lena (Haby) Blackburn; parents, Joseph Wellington Edison and Lillian E. (Williams) Blackburn; spouse, Patricia Johnson.
He is survived by his children, Earl Blackburn, Milton Blackburn and wife Jeanette, Lester Blackburn and wife Elizabeth, and Jonetta Doan; grandchildren, Crystal Kincaid and husband Kevin, Cody Blackburn and wife Sandra, Brandi Young and husband Brandon, Leslie Harrison and husband Clint, Wesley Shadrock, Tiffany Johnson and husband Wood; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Corine Pittman; nieces and nephews, Mark Pittman, Gaye Shannon, Clay Pittman, Lisa Mines, and other loving family and many friends.
