MANCHESTER - Jo'An Aldrich died quietly after a long illness in the early morning hours of Sept. 15, 2011, with her daughter Francesca and granddaughter Kristin by her side.

Jo'An was the first of four children born to William Edge and Eleanor Radford on March 23, 1924, in Manchester, England.

Jo'An immigrated to the United States from Great Britain just after World War II. With her daughter Francesca in hand, they walked through the gates of Ellis Island on April 6, 1947, ready to begin a new life in a new world.

Moving to Manchester, N.H., in 1970, Jo'An spent those early years working in real estate. A woman of many talents, she found her true niche, her true calling, amongst the stars. She taught and mentored many through the realm of astrology and gave hope and guidance to those in need. She was fun, she was happy, she was loved, and she will be deeply missed.

Jo'An is survived by one brother, Gerard Edge of Surrey, England, as well as her daughter Francesca Tabor-Miolla and her husband, Raymond Miolla, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; her grandchildren, Kristin Tabor-Moore and Jason Tabor, who, along with their respective families, both live in Lexington, Ky. Jo'An's daughter Liz Geary resides in Manchester, N.H., as do Liz's children, Matthew Mitchell and Ami Mitchell.

Her family has named a star after Jo'An and she can be found in the constellation of Phoenix..

SERVICES:A farewell celebration and remembrance service will be held in Jo'An's honor on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m., at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, N.H. Her ashes will remain with her family until she is returned to her birthplace in Manchester, England.

The family has requested, in lieu of flowers or donations, a simple prayer.

The Phaneuf Funeral Homes and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements. For more information or to view an online guestbook and memorial, go to www.phaneuf.net.
