Lewis Corbin Priest was born 14 March 1797 In Sideview, Montgomery Co. Kentucky to George Priest and Frances Catlett.On 08 March 1821 he married Frances Badger, daughter of David Badger and Elizabeth Miller, in Montgomery Co. Kenucky. He and his family removed to Putnam Co. Indiana around 1828 along with his brother Fielding Priest. Lewis and Frances Preist had 9 children: George, David, William, Horace, Mary Frances, James, Oliver, Feilding and Henry.
