DR. COLBY C. JACKSON, a 38-year-old Charleston dentist, was found dead by hanging early yesterday at his home at 857 Somerset Drive.
Dr. Goff P. Lilly, Kanawha County coroner, said the body was discovered about 12:30 a.m., hanging from a window sash cord in the basement of the home.
Discovery was made by his wife, the coroner said.
A member of Calvary Baptist Church, Dr. Jackson had been a practicing dentist since he was 22 years of age. He also held membership in the Beni Kedem Shrine, Masonic Lodge and Knights Templar.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eunice Jackson; a son, David, with the U. S. Air Force at Shepherd Field, Texas; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Jackson of Charleston; three sisters, Mrs. Press Cochrane of Edmonds, Okla., Mrs. Richard Neal of State City, Pa., and Miss Joanna Jackson of New York City.
The body is at Wilson Mortuary.
