Mary Evelyn (Fischer) Neighbors of Parker, Texas passed away on January 29, 2021 at the age of 80. She was born on April 23, 1940 to Albert Bernard Fischer and Janie Elizabeth (Latham) Fischer in Alba, Texas. Mary was the oldest of three daughters to a hardworking and god fearing family. Mary married Haley Lavoe Neighbors on July 6, 1957 in McKinney, Texas. She was the mother of two daughters, Jaquita and Lavonda. Mary was born and raised in Texas but Haley and Mary did enjoy traveling but always loved coming back home to their home state of Texas. She was of Pentecostal faith and was passionate in her faith in God and her religion.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Lavonda Kinser and husband, Michael of Parker, Texas; grandchildren, Leon James Shasteen of Weatherford, Texas, Victoria Windsor of Dallas, Texas and Elizabeth Windsor of Copeville, Texas; and niece, Tina Recer Hicks and husband, Joey and family of Sachse, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Janie Fisher; husband, Haley Lavoe Neighbors; daughter, Jaquita Lynn Neighbors Windsor; and her sisters, Rachel Recer and Peggy Buss.

A private visitation and a private, invitation only funeral service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
