Sergeant Jim was born April 26, 1907, at Fairfax, in the County of Fairfax, Virginia, and is therefore as much of a native citizen as can be found in this vicinity.
He has been a member of the Fairfax County Police Force since February 1, 1948. But before that he knew about everybody ever assigned to the Sheriff's staff and , since he was able to walk, he always wanted to be a policeman. That's one of the reasons he is now a sergeant.
He is married to Marie Rose Dodson.
