Brenda Carol Chesser, age 70 of Saint Francis, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin. She was born May 5, 1950 in Marion County. She was a former employee of Spring View Hospital dietary department and a resident of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Dunn; her parents, William Tony and Mary Agnes Robey Blair; two sisters, Helen Louise Blair and Sheila Faye Keeling.

Survivors include one son, William Scott Dunn (Carol) of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Siana Libby (Ryan) of Bardstown, Kayti Dunn of Loretto, Madison Dunn of Killeen, Texas and Tyler Gribbins of Saint Francis; two great-granddaughters, Elaina and Emersyn Libby; three sisters, Mollie Wheeler of Saint Francis, Patty Centers (Duane) and Lyn Lanham (Joe) all of Bardstown; one brother, Bobby Blair (Debbie) of Saint Francis.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6785 Highway 52, Loretto. Rev. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is 3-8 PM Monday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 PM.

Pallbearers are Joe Lanham, Scott Dunn, Ryan Libby, Ryan Pike, Tyler Gribbins and Jonathan Mitchell.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 50% occupancy. Face coverings are required, and food and drink are prohibited. The services will be livestreamed onto the Mattingly Funeral Home facebook page.
