Excerpt -- Our people were shocked to hear of the death of our neighbor and friend, Martin Cupp, which occurred at the hospital at Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday morning, July 31, about 8 o'clock. His body was brought to his home here Tuesday afternoon and Thursday afternoon funeral services were held at the home conducted by Rev. Jeremiah Thomas of the Brethren Church. Interment was at the Cupp Cemetery nearby. The deceased was aged 70 years, 2 months and 1 day, and leaves a wife, two sons and one daughter, two sisters and one brother, and seven grandchildren, and many other relatives to mourn their loss.
