Barre Man Passed Away At Barre City Hospital Yesterday Afternoon

Alfred Oral Comstock, a native of Orange but a resident of Barre many years, died at the Barre City hospital yesterday afternoon, having been taken there on Oct 5, from his place of residence, 208 South Main street, where he was employed as a gardener by Mrs. Adelaide C. Bradley.
He was born in March, 1863, and came to Barre as a young man and followed the occupation of polisher for some time. He was married in 1896 to Lottie Robinson, who passed away two years later, leaving a young son, Alfred, who is thought to have lost his life in the flood of 1927 when at Bolton.
The deceased leaves the following nieces and nephews; Mrs. D. Luce of Randolph, Mrs. Rose Edson of Barre, Mrs. Bertha Comstock of Williamstown, Elmer B. Comstock of Barre, Edgar Comstock of St. Johnsbury Center, Merrill Comstock of Orange, Dana Comstock of East Barre and Jon and Charles Butterfield of Windsor.
Friends may view the remains at the Kenyon funeral home after 4 o'clock this afternoon and the funeral will be held there Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Funeral of A. O. COMSTOCK
Was Held in Kenyon Funeral Home Yester Afternoon

Funeral services for Alfred O. Comstock of South Main street, who died Tuesday at the Barre City hospital, were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Kenyon funeral home at 102 Washington street with Rev. Charles J. MacLean officiating.
Bearers were W. D. Lovie, Arthur Baker, J. A. Greenslit, George C. Patterson, Elmer Comstock and Arthur Comstock. Burial was in Hope cemetery.
Attending the funeral from away were; Mrs. Cora Comstock, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Rogers, Miss Dana Luce, Mrs. Clayton Tucker, Miss Ernest Tucker, all of Randolph, Arthur E. Comstock of Bethel, Dana Comstock and Elmer Comstock of East Barre, Ivan Greenslit of Northfield and Winifred Greenslit of Warren.
A communication states that the obituary sketch of Mr. Comstock failed to mention the survival of his second wife, Mrs. Ella M. Comstock of White River Junction.
