William Gerold “Bill” Minges was born on May 8, 1931 in Hamilton County, Ohio to Henry C. Minges and Ethel Marie Neihard Minges. He was the third-born of four sons. He married Antoinette Marie “Toni” Palmire Minges in 1962, and they had six children: Douglas “Doug” Minges, David “Dave” Minges, Connie Minges Metzner, Lisa Minges Milazzo, Wendy Minges Wyatt, and Kristie Minges. Bill had numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the time of his death. He loved dogs and was a supporter of the Hamilton County SPCA. His obituary listed among his survivors “every dog on the west side of Cincinnati.”

Bill passed away suddenly at age 81 in Cheviot, Hamilton County on January 3, 2013. He was cremated. His funeral was at Saint Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in Cheviot.
