Henry Nolan Abbott, 85, of Rossville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 4, 2021.

He was born in Durham, Georgia to the late, Henry & Tempia Hollingsworth Abbott and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Abbott; sister, Imogene Lane and two brothers, Frank Abbott and Shorty Abbott.

He was employed with Yates Bleachery as a Supervisor for more than 52 years and enjoyed gardening, bird watching and spending time with his family & friends. He was a loving and devoted, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather that will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his children, Shirley Oliver, Wayne Abbott and Nancy Adkins; 4 brothers, J.R. Abbott, Roy Lee Abbott, Clifford Abbott and Lamar Abbott; sister, Edna Blevins; 3 grandchildren, Chris Rozzelle, Henry Oliver and Dustin Abbott; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2021 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Rory Blevins officiating. Burial will be held Little River Cemetery in Mentone, Alabama. Wilson Funeral Home.
