FLETCHER, MARY LOUISE SHERMAN, passed away on October 12, 2007. Mary Louise was the daughter of prominent DC lawyer Gardiner M. Sherman and Louise R. Sherman. Mary Louise was an Orlando native born February 24, 1925. She graduated from Orlando High School in 1942 and attended Rollins College where she was a Pi Beta Phi.

Stunningly beautiful, Mary Louise married her high school sweetheart, Richard L. Fletcher on August 21, 1943. She lived in Washington DC while Richard was away serving in WWII.

Mary Louise was a founding member of St Michael's Episcopal Church. She was also a member of the Rosalind Club, The Country Club of Orlando, and Junior League of Orlando-Winter Park Sustainer Emeritus.

Mary Louise always had a smile, was perfectly "coiffed" with beauty queen looks, loved to laugh and had a fun loving sense of humor. She traveled extensively with her adoring husband, enjoyed playing bridge and loved animals.

Mary Louise was a career volunteer. She was always doing for others whether it was cooking meals for those in need, organizing food for the sick or hospitalized, or buying shoes for less fortunate children. The handsome and devoted couple was an inspiration and example of love to their family and all who knew them. They were not only sweethearts when she was 15, they remained sweethearts throughout their 64 plus years of marriage. They could always be seen holding each other's hands.

Mary Louise was predeceased by her brothers, Gardiner and Frank E. Sherman. She is survived by her husband, Richard; four children, Richard, Jr. (Suzanne), Roger, Mary Lowry (Bill), Marcia Kazmi (Irfan). Mary Louise or "Mom-Mom" had nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren to carry on her legacy of love. She is also survived by her cousins, Mary Helen Hadley, Betty Eidson(Ted) and Jack Branham(Lucy). Her memory will be cherished forever in our hearts.
