Glen E. Craig, 74, of Anderson, died Oct. 12, 2007, at his residence, following an extended illness.

He was born July 23, 1933, in Anderson and was a lifetime resident of Madison County.

Glen served his country in the United States Army.

In 1982, he retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 30 years of employment.

He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 662 and the American Legion.

Survivors include his daughters, Linda Sue Ridge, Anna Marie (Ronald) Hinton, Lee Ann Lehman and fiancé Don Roberts, Cathy (John) Wallace and Mary Land (Jim Everman) and Angela Craig (Larry Gore), all of Anderson, and Glenda (Marc) Henderson of Indianapolis; his sons, James Edward Denny (Rebecca Devitt) of Gulfport Miss., William Allen (Tracy) Denny and Rex Allen Craig of Anderson; his sisters, Nancy (Jim) Laswell and Janet Allen, all of Anderson; his brother, Joseph (Helen) Craig of Chesterfield; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Glen was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Helen Craig; his second wife, Estella Craig; parents, Glen Lee and Gertrude (Pettigrew) Craig; brothers, Harold Craig, Don Craig, Guy Craig and Carl Craig; and sisters, Jean Shepard, Ruth Knowblock, Judy Craig, Iva Ebbert and Mary Wiseman; and a great-grandson, Dylan Michael Hinton.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, officiated by Pastor Jeff Floyd. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, where military graveside rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the Wednesday service at the South Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund or the American Diabetes Foundation.
