A funeral service for Lydia Winn will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Bethel Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Faye Darnell officat-ing. Burial will be in Orchard Mesa Cemetery. 1 Visitation will be until 8 tonight and from 8 a m. until noon Wednesday. McLean Funeral Home in Palisade is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Winn, a housewife, of 641 Road 30, died of natural causes Sunday at SI Marys Hospital. She was 82. She was a resident of Grand Junction for 15 years. She was born Sept 29, 1906, to Edward and Julia Richter Scobey in Hotchkiss. She spent her childhood in Hotchkiss and in surrounding Delta County. She graduated from school in Lazer. She married Hubert Lee Hub Winn, Sept. 21, 1923, in Delta. Mr. Winn, a rancher and businessman, died Sept 15, 1972, in Palisade. After leaving Delta, Mrs. Winn moved to Rulison for 45 years and in 1969 moved to Palisade. She moved to Grand Junction in 1973. Mrs. Winn was one of the first foster grandparents to volunteer at the Grand Junction Regional Center. Survivors include a daughter, Wilma Parkhurst of Grand Junction; one sister, Josephine Dannels of Estes Park; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the Foster Grandparents Association, in care of Norma Frohock, Grand Junction Regional Center, 2800 Road D, Grand Junction 81501.
