Janice was born July 16, 1941, in Soldiers Grove, Wis., the daughter of Bob and Frances (Martin) Bennett. She attended Soldiers Grove High School, and was married to Bill Turnmire for 46 years. She retired from Warner Lambert after working for 27 years.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; children, Bill (Dana) Turnmire of Almont, Mich., Vicki Turnmire and Babbett Turnmire, both of Loves Park; grandchildren, Traci Turnmire of Loves Park, Billy Turnmire of Rockford, Michael Turnmire of Machesney Park, Brice Turnmire of Loves Park, Jason Nichoson of Monroe, LA., Mark Nichoson of Machesney Park, Breanna Turnmire and Grant Turnmire, both of Almont, Mich.; great-grandchildren, Ketravian Franklin, Mya Turnmire, Neveah Turnmire, Autumn Crutcher and Trenton Nichoson; parents, Bob and Frances Bennett of Janesville, Wis.; brothers, Bob (Marianne) Bennett of Janesville and Jerry (Lisa) Bennett of Verona, Wis.; sisters, Sharon (Jim) Davidson of Janesville and Kathy (Dan) Sladek of McFarland, Wis.
Janice was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was loved by her family.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in Christ Lutheran Church, 425 Riverside Blvd., Belvidere, with visitation beginning at 1 p.m.; Pastor Tim Olson will officiate.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mete Korkmaz and the staff at the Cancer Care Center at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. They also wish to extend a special thank you to the many family and friends who supported them in their time of need.
Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, is assisting the family.
