Donald Ray "Don" Clark age 84, of Elsie, MI, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 3:00 P.M., with Pastor Keith Whipple officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Don was born in Elsie, MI on February 4, 1935, the son of Ivan M. and Florence L. (Unrath) Clark. He graduated from Elsie High School with the class of 1953. Don married Marilyn Lou Wadell on October 8, 1957 in Eureka. They celebrated 59 years of marriage together. Marilyn passed away on March 24, 2017.
Don worked at Midland Ross as a process engineer for 28 years. He then worked at Alma Products and retired after 13 years. In his younger years he loved playing baseball, water skiing, and bowling. He had a lifelong affection for golf.
He was a member of the Elsie American Legion and a lifelong member of the Eureka Christian Church where he was also on the building committee and on the board for many years. Don proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He is survived by his daughters: Teresa and Bryan Colf of Laingsburg, MI; Kim and Keith Streng of Commerce Township, MI; Bonnie and Joe Witcpalek of Clarkston, MI; Lisa and Tom Crawford of Lowell, MI. He is also survived by grandchildren: Matthew, Andrea (Pat), Lindsey, Zachary, Marisa, Derek, Michael, and Evan and a great granddaughter on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers and sisters in law: Merrill and Margie Clark, Earl and Donna Clark, and Beryl and Dixie Clark.
