Marqueen Janice (Grasley) Samsel, 87, of Circle Drive, Berwick, died Sunday, December 14, 2008, at Berwick Hospital Center.
Born May 24, 1921, in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Gallagher) Grasley.
Mrs. Samsel was employed at Wise Foods, Lady Esther, and was a home health provider for many years.
Preceding her in death was her husband Harvey Samsel, who died February 11, 1984; three sons: Ronald, Larry, and William Samsel; one sister: Dorothy Kline; and three brothers: Clark, Robert and Harry Grasley.
Surviving is her one daughter: Joan, wife of Carl Readler of Berwick; one son: Harvey Damon Samsel of Berwick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of Berwick; two sisters: Sandra Taylor, and her husband Richard, of Berwick; Violetta Shaffer, and her husband Julian, of Berwick; and a brother-in-law: Mason Samsel.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008, from 12:00 noon, until the time of services at 2:00 P.M., at the Mayo Funeral Home, Inc., 110 Chestnut Street, Berwick, with the Rev. Francis J. Tamburro, of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Berwick, officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Berwick.
