Mrs. Gertrude Ann Brandt, 76, of 601 1/2 11th Ave., Rock Island, died at 8 last evening at St. Anthony's after a 3-week illness.
She was a life resident of Rock Island, born there May 2, 1887, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Brahm. She was married to William Zarnt. She was later married to William Brandt in Davenport Dec. 23, 1916. She was of Protestant faith.
She is survived by two sons, Ray Zarnt and Chester Brandt, both of Rock Island; two grandchildren; a brother, Bernard Brahm, and a sister, Mrs. Millie Otto, both of Rock Island.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.
Services will be at 11 Monday morning at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island, with the Rev. Fred J. Rolf officiating. Burial will be in Chippiannock Cemetery.
Friends may call from 12 to 5 and 7 to 9 Sunday.

The wedding of Mrs. Gertrude Zarnt of Rock Island to Mr. William Brandt of Peoria took place at half after three o'clock at the parsonage of the Trinity German Lutheran church. The Rev. O.H. Horn performed the ceremony. Attending the couple were Mrs. Millie Otto and Mr. Bernnard Brahm. Mr. and Mrs. Zarnt will make their home in Peoria, where the groom is in the warehouse business.

Williams of the First Methodist church Saturday evening at 8 o'clock officiated at the marriage of Miss Gertrude Brahm to William Zarnt, the ceremony taking place at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Mary Brahm, 924 Eleventh avenue. They were attended by Miss Mildred Brahm, the bride's sister, and George Steckel.
Mr. Zarnt is employed at the Independent bakery. He and his bride will make their home temporarily with the bride's mother.
