Cleveland "CJ" Joseph Berthelot Jr, seventy-five years of age, passed away on February 7, 2021.
CJ was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dancing with his wife, gardening, watching LSU and Saints football, going on casino trips, and traveling throughout the US and Canada. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 328 Honor Guard Detail and former president of Jaycee's.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette Aucoin Berthelot; two children, Sheila Berthelot Guidry (Scott) and Shaun Berthelot (Betsy); two step-daughters, Michelle Parker (Chad) and Melanie Thornton (Justin); four grandchildren, Brittany Walker (Josh), Amber Guidry, Alyssa Acosta, and Connor Berthelot; three great-grandchildren, Aubriana Walker, Adalyn Walker, and Benton Ledet; one sister, Shirley Berthelot Cedotal (Paul); one brother-in-law, Leonard Mabile, and his former wife, Cheryl Domingue.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Joseph Sr and Louise Blanchard Berthelot; three sisters, Rosemary Berthelot, Thelma Berthelot Mabile, and Catherine Berthelot; and one brother, Thomas Berthelot.
